Dr. David Samadi is a highly recognized expert of medicine who is at this serving as Chairman of Urology as well as Chief of Robotic Surgery. Doctor Samadi was born in Iran in a small community but left with Dr. David Samadi’s brother in 1979. He was educated in Belgium and continued his education in London before eventually heading to the U.S. where he would graduate high school in New York. Public-Private partnerships have gained popularity in many nations. This is because they have been known to speed up economic growth due to improved quality of service delivery. On 30th June, Nelson Marchezan Júnior, the serving Mayor in Porto Alegre (RS) set-up a Public- Private Partnership (PPP) aiming to figure-out ways in which the government can venture into partnerships with the private sector to enhance public services.
This would mark the first project by the Mayor in office. The partnerships (PPP) and the concession deliberations were conducted by the Management Council of the Municipal Program of Partnerships (Propar).
An Expert in the field, Felipe Montoro Jens, confirmed that the move would better the public services such as public lighting, open markets and projects in relation to sanitation. As Felipe confirms, Nelson Marchezan Júnior went ahead to form a Municipal Partnership Program (PROPAR / POA) and the Partnerships (CGP).
The mayor formed the council with an aim of standardizing operations and also to ensure modernization of the management. This took place on 2nd May. Felipe has served in senior positions in various organizations. He has a massive experience in finance and investments. This has therefore made him quite knowledgeable in matters Public-Private partnerships.
The Expert, Felipe Montoro Jens, further defined the unique role of CGP as a regulatory body to supervise the projects performed through the Public-private partnerships. On the other hand, the council is designed to execute operations of the PPP.

Outlining the various circumstances in which the projects are to be considered under the PROPAR / POA
Reviewing requests and consider endorsements for the appeals for public announcements
Conduct an evaluation for reports on the execution of the Concession and PPP contract
Reviewing the applicable bidding process and approve it
Reviewing any appeals presented and rule on them
