Embarked in a venture that may propel medical technology to new heights, Eric Lefkofsky has launched a new company called Tempus. Tempus will help not only help prolong cancer patients’ lives but may also actually cure their cancer.Tempus is building an extensive database that stores the genetic cancer information that doctors already have on their patients and has already received collaboration from many famous hospitals. Doctors will access the database information in search of genetic information similar to their patients using software provided by Tempus. They will use that comparison to better understand their patient’s tumors and then customize treatment using past successful therapies. Through Tempus’s database analysis, doctors can give more precise dosages and medications to their patients by studying how and why someone contracts or fights a disease.
The decrease in the cost of genetic screening and storage makes this venture possible and gives Tempus an advantage over other companies researching cancer treatments. In 2004, it cost $100 million to sequence a genome. Today the cost is $5,000 with estimates of a cost of a few hundred dollars in the future. Eric is currently concentrating on pancreatic, lung and breast cancers but will include other cancer types in the future. All gene-sequencing tests will be performed in Tempus’s 20,000 square foot laboratory.Tempus is not Eric Lefkofsky’s first venture. His other public ventures include InnerWorkings, Echo Global Logistics, Lightbank, Uptake Technologies, Mediaocean, and Groupon. These businesses were successful earning Eric $1.79 billion throughout his careers. Groupon is probably the most recognized of his ventures where he still serves as chairman.
The Lefkofsky Family Foundation, formed by Eric and his wife, Liz, has donated millions in cancer research efforts including $1 million to Northwester University Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer, $500,000 to Stanford University, $1.2 million to University of Michigan, and $250,000 to Weill Cornell Medicine. After obtaining a The Giving Pledge membership, the couple pledged to give half of their life’s earnings to philanthropy.
While he has an array of causes that he supports, as a father, he has a personal commitment to help the world’s youth. He has made it his mission to help kids everywhere as he knows they are the future. By supporting children, he is supporting individuals for years to come as these children grow up, make decisions, and influence our world. In this way, Jeffry Schneider will continue to inspire others even in his absence. Jeff truly believes in the power of individuals everywhere mastering their capabilities, so he encourages everyone he meets to self-actualize. His philanthropic personality is invigorated by giving freely to the less fortunate and he hopes to leave a legacy that inspires others to do the same with their time.
Using his leadership experience, Jeffry Schneider has helped many kids over the years improve their emotional and physical wellbeing. He’s worked tirelessly with organizations inside and outside of schools that focus on enriching the lives of children. In these programs, Jeffry has empowered kids to realize that they have the power to achieve any aspiration in life. From working with kids who have been through the trauma of natural disasters to spending his time at facilities for mistreated children, Jeffry uses his knowledge and innate skill to teach today’s youth the value of health and hard work.
Caring about one’s own kids often comes easily to a parent, but in 2018, it’s rare to find a person that does as much as Jeffry Schneider for other people’s children. Jeff Schneider knows how important a strong support system at home is to a child as he is a father of 3. With the world changing at such a fast pace, it’s easy to forget about principles like altruism, but selfless giving is crucial for the fate of children as so many need individual attention and lack a stable parent to give it to them. Fortunately, Jeff is willing to step in and be a role model for not just his kids but for any kid who needs support.
A symptom of this lack of attention, childhood obesity, is a major concern for the US, so Jeff is doing all he can to combat the problem. In addition to charity, Jeffry Schneider has been devoted to fitness his entire life. Now as a father he tries to inspire kids everywhere to stay physically active and is especially interested in rebuilding communities starting with their youth. Today, Jeff works with kids of all ages and backgrounds and volunteers a majority of his time at local nonprofit organizations that focus on abused and neglected children. He knows how important it is for kids to learn healthy habits in their early years, so he aims to teach kids mental and physical wellness tips as early as possible. By showing children what it means to commit to a healthy lifestyle and by taking the time to mentor them, Jeff hopes to show children how making small changes in the present can give them hope for the future.

So many titles can be used to describe Adam Milstein, but the ones that befits him most is a real estate investor, community leader, and philanthropist. The good work and leadership have seen him honored by the Jerusalem post as one of the most influential Jews. This was alongside the likes of Benjamin Netanyahu and Haim Saban. On the list by the Jerusalem Post, Adam Milstein appeared as number 38. Adam currently lives in California with his wife, Gila. Gila is a Morocco-born lady who immigrated to the State of Israel at the age of 6. Together they have three children.
Just some few months ago, Adam spoke with the ideamensch about his life and career and below is what he had to say. Adam says that his days are usually very hectic. When he want to rest or relax, he gets involved in philanthropy. This way, he manages to feel satisfied and at ease. He says that the only way to make it in life is becoming a doer rather than just an observer. He believes in the follow-up habit and says that it can be very productive. In the real estate business, demand is always ahead of the supply. This is a trend that excites him.
Persistency, consistency and follow up are the key to success. These are the words of Adam Milstein. Adam has never had a bad job since he began his career. Also, he believes that he has made the right choices about his life and there is nothing he would ever regret. According to Adam Milstein, setting specific goals can hinder your growth and development. Instead, he advocates for tackling problems and issues as they arise. His biggest failure as a businessman is his desire to succeed overnight. This was a mistake that he paid dearly for as he failed terribly. This was during his days as a student.
Adam advises young people willing to make it in life not to put all their money in one investment. His closest friend is David Hager who also happens to be his partner at Hager Pacific Properties. He credits him as a smart person who is always ahead of the world affairs.
